Mad Libs News Edition

The Story Behind the Story

It all started with a drawing contest. Leah was printing the winning drawing, and then Maggie and Libby started drawing more. Before we knew it, we had so many ideas we realized — we should make a newspaper. And just like that, Miss Me News was born.

📰

Leah

Co-Founder & Editor-in-Chief

A professional question-asker from Canada. Leah helps run the newsroom and makes sure every issue is packed with things worth reading. She also creates the puzzles and games — so if a word search stumped you, that was probably her. When she's not writing a story, she's probably already thinking about the next one.

✏️

Libby

Co-Founder & Creative Director

Writer, artist, and the creative eye behind Miss Me News. Libby writes stories and is the queen of fun facts — if you learned something surprising in an issue, she probably found it. She also makes sure everything looks as good as it reads, from layouts and illustrations to the brand you see right now.

🎤

Maggie

Co-Founder & Head of Fun

Writer and the person who makes sure Miss Me News is never boring. Maggie writes stories and draws the comics — her illustrations bring every issue to life. She's also behind the polls, contests, and all the interactive stuff that makes readers want to come back every week.

Our Mission

Real news. Real stories. Really for kids.

Miss Me News is a printed newspaper with a digital home right here. We believe kids deserve journalism that respects their intelligence, sparks their curiosity, and makes them feel like they're part of the conversation — not just watching from the sidelines.

Every issue is researched, written, and edited by all three of us. We cover science, community, animals, space, opinions, and whatever else catches our eye. If it's interesting, it belongs in Miss Me News.
